Treatment using a drip is required when a patient is not able to take medication orally, when a certain product does not allow oral administration without causing damage, or when more rapid action is required in the case of potentially serious illnesses.
To be made up or ready-to-use, certain medication such as antibiotics, analgesics or cancer medication is administered intravenously. It is packaged in PP or PVC bags depending on potential interactions between the container and the content. Powders drugs and lyophilizates can be packed in Dual-Mix® dual chamber bag.
